I ordered a New mold

I ordered two molds from Del-mart Molds in November and still haven't got them. I know that he had never nade a mold like this and we said it would take time to program the design. Nit a problem but everytime I call and get an update he makes a different excuse on why its not done. Two weeks ago he said he was done and then the molds got lost or shipped out to somebody else. Then on Friday he said that on mold was done and he was gonna cut the other one Saturday or Monday. I'm not holding my breath! Half tempted to call Bear Baits and see if he would be willing to do a quick turnaround and get the molds cut asap. I talked to Jacobs and he said he wouldn't do them due to propritiary reasons. The funny thing is that the baits I sent him were made by a friend of mine not by a bait company!

Did your friend machine his own design . Because if it was a copy from another bait that a patent is held on Jacobs couldn't do it for someone who makes plastics as a business. If there is a possible patent infringement Bear won't get into that either.I'm on several web sites and I've seen some reel s--t storms over just the word beaver Being used. Been there done that. It sucks.

Yeah my buddy made is own design and wanted it made into a alluminum mold so we could make the baits faster. But since it looked similar to a another bait on the market it didn't happen. No big deal I'll get it some hopefully and I'll be in business and making some baits for the spring.

I think you only have to change it bait 10% and you won't be infringing on anybody else's plastic bait.

there are several that very closely resemble baits already on the market.

Well I guess I'll see what happens with Del-mart molds. Hopefully he gets these two done this week. I need to start stocking up on baits for the season.

No I haven't paid. I ordered them early November!
