    Default Anyone have anything close?

If you have ever seen a speghetti bead you have the basic idea. Now take the bead and take off most of one side and it is perfect. I need an oblong solid worm/grub shape to go under my crochet patterns, needs to cover 85-90% of the hook shank to the bend, tapered at both ends, flat one one side if possible.

Like I said, take a speghetti bead, sand off one side just to the point the hole is starting to open up and you have the shape I need.

    Question Uh ....

Why not just get some of these, and fix them to suit ya : 19x6mm spaghetti beads - Shop sales, stores & prices at TheFind.com

I'll tell ya what .... if I could figure out a way to get a jig hook into one of these, what with the colors they come in and all, I think they'd make some interesting looking baits Thumbs Up

pappy, could you use a dremmel tool and widen the hole some and then take a long shank hook and feed it up through it and then seal the top?

I'd just take a long shank hook, clip off the eye, thread on the bead, and re-form a new eye.

Because I want a gel base so that the lace I use will stay where I want it and not slip on the slick surface. I already amke a couple versions with the spaghetti bead. The problem is I need smaller ones that I can put on different sized hooks. I make huge ones for steelhead but for trout, crappie and panfish I want much smaller ones and a hard slick body under neath doesn't work, I know, I have tried.

Here is one made with the spaghetti bead:

A soft get body underneath would make thing so much simpler and easier. And give me the variety i need to tie them on any size jig instead of only ones that fit the 2 sizes of spaghetti bead.

I don't pour any of my own, will be looking for someone who has them and I will buy them. I guess I will have to look for a mold close to what I need or maybe make one that is a simple pour mold and not an injector. Maybe FF can help me with the mold.

It's close but I need more taper and a flat side. Flat side can be done pretty easy but the taper is not so easy.
