    Default G3 was right

G3 was right. I had been fishing my double jig set up with the top hook being tied with a palamore knot and the bottom jig tied with a loop knot. Well I decided to give the old man's idea of using loop knots for both jigs a try. The plastic minnow still hung horizontal and the bottom jig still had great action.

Listen to G3 folks. Use two loop knots on your double rig setups. This here old dog ain't too old to learn another trick or two.

naw....no big head here. I try every method and technique that I hear or read about. Experiance has shown me that your jigs have more action with a loop knot......works best for me anyway. Now go catch some fish dadgummit!

Ever since I read about using two loop knots that's what I been using. Not real sure about the difference in the action...but it makes sense works for me.

Ship.....here is what I do......I pre tie all my rigs and I put a barrel swivel at the top. I have a swivel with a snap on my line....I can change rigs out quickly and easily. I take swimming pool noodles and cut them into 12 in. lengths. I can store about 8 complete rigs on each one. A rubber band keeps each one in place. So I can change to different color or different weight rigs easily. and if I decide to quit spider rigging and start pulling crankbaits....just unsnap the rig and go for it. I have rigs for live minnows also. Man those swimming pool noodles are handy. A piece of noodle pulled over the handle of your landing net will prevent it from sinking if it falls out of the boat....lots of uses.

Dadgummitall David we think alike almost. Yesterday after I discovered the double loop knot jig rig worked as well as was easy to rig up, I took a noodle and cut it into 1 inch strips. I made six of them. I made up the double jig rig with a snap swivel on the end. On the slip float rod the line ends with a barrel swivel. Connect the two when you want to fish. I store the noodle sections in a tuperware container in the tackle box which really is a tool box for my tools of the trade.
