The March 2012 Tournament has come and gone but it was another eventful day. There were a total of 7 teams that participated and some big sacks were brought to the scale “AGAIN”. The first place team scored a winning weight totaling 9.05 pounds. They topped off their sack with a 1.80 pound fish. The second place team came to the scales with a total weight of 8.90 pounds. Their big crappie for the day and big fish for the tournament was a behemoth 2.06 pound slab. The third place team pulled in 8.08 pounds with a 1.86 pound kicker. The fourth place team had 7.16 pounds. The remaining teams had modest days on the water but they did not bring any fish to the scales. For those that don’t know, Lanier is a good lake for crappie fishing and I urge you to come give it a try.
