how deep ?

Ok guys I've built a few pvc trees and I'm not real sure at what depth range type of site to look for to put them in for summer time night fishing. can anyone give me some hints and ideas as to what I should look for ?

20 - 30 ft deep..... Would suggest not putting all of em in the same depth of water........
You build it and they will come........

Good job Clark. The only comment I have is that you probably did an overkill with the concrete. My PVC trees sink on their own, and a brick is more than enough to hold them in place and it's not as much work. But these are really nice and you'll catch a ton of fish on them from now on!

I agree with CrappieTexan - find a good slope - you have more than enough to make you a really good reef type structure. Even in the summer at night, the crappie might be at a different depth than what you might expect. If you put your structure over a range of depths, you have a much better chance of attracting the fish and keeping them there.

Talk to some local people about your specific lake. One clear moutain lake in Canada might hold crappie at 50' deep in the middle of the summer at night, where a muddy lake in Florida doesn't get over 30' deep anywhere, and the crappie hang out around 20' deep.
