Need Some Ideas - Brainstorming With Bamboo

I need some ideas guys. With the project the FFA is doing with the Corp of Engineers, I have A LOT of left over bamboo. When we cut down the 'boo, we only use the top 9-15 feet of it. That leaves anywhere from a few feet up to 30 feet of scrap 'boo! As you can see from the following pictures I have of scrap just sitting around.






My question is: What can I do with all of this? I would rather not make up 'boo buckets with all of this, cause most of it doesn't have limbs. I know it wouldn't be much different than all of the PVC buckets that people use. I would like some way of using it with the following preferences:
1) Must be able to haul fairly easily....... on a bass boat.
2) Safe to drop into lake......from a bass boat.
3) Rather not use qwikcrete
4) Not take a large amount of time to build

Any ideas? Or is my best bet to just haul the stuff off?

thats alot of boo.... the lake you are fishing does it have a soft bottom? if so i would wait till it gets alittle warmer and then stick them in the mud...we used to do this on murval and its a excellent brim bed after that...

I would drive it down in the mud to make some stake beds on the edge of a ledge!! I would use 20-30 per spot. Check out this video. How to create a crappie stake bed | www.***************

First run a piece of rebar through it and then sharpen one end. Bale it up in stacks of 30 or so and find a good soft clay bottom and drive it in the bottom for a stake bed. Also add a couple cedar trees next to your bed and you will grow your own crappie. Make sure you GPS your location.

I had thought of and then forgot about using the bamboo in stake beds. I don't know if a bass boat is the best thing to use while putting them in the water.

Check this thread with bundles of boo using bucket lids to hold and blocks for shallow water.

Onion sack for rocks, string, drill hole in bottom of boo. Run rope\string thru about 30 pieces or so. (This done at home) Fits in boat well. Find rocks at lake for weight. Boo will float up. Quick and easy.

zip ties,drill and bit..........form a triangle make up about 5 of them, then run a peice across the top and the bottom to form a cage type attractor.

slider1, I've thought about doing something like that. I'm afraid that if anyone got hung up in it while bass fishing they would pull it around or maybe even tear it up. What do you think? Cause something like what you described is more along the lines of what I'm wanting.

it would be deep structure...10 plus feet. I put all of my attractors this deep. the crappie are in this depth 75% of the time. I don't think you will have a problem.
