I fish a good bit in my hometown at a private watershed. It is about 100 acres with a max depth of 8 feet. The lake has no bottom cover at ALL. The best way to fish the place is troll the open water at various depths and hope to come across some fish. I am really wanting to put out some structure to help locate the fish more easily into concentrated areas. I have permission to drop the structure. I have planty of access to bamboo. The fish spawn in the shallow backside of the lake in the pads. The water is around 3.5 feet deep here. I am thinking of wading out and putting in some stake beds in this area. For the deeper areas I was going to put out some boo beds. My question is what would be the best design for this situation? Also how tall should I cut the stakes? Should I make it where some protrude from the surface? The lake doesn't have any creek runs or really any bottom change whatsoever. It gradually goes from the deeper water at the levee to around 1.5-2 feet at the extreme backside of the watershed. Any information on where and how to place is greatly appreciated.
