Here is a tip you guys may have thought would be obvious but took me a while to figure out. I put out large Bamboo. Most of the Boo is 2" in diameter and I drive them in the bottom. The Bamboo holds air in each section and if not driven deep in the bottom will not stay.
The solution: Take a section of rebar and push down the center of the Boo to break each air tight chamber. Drives much easier and will not come shooting back up like a submarine launched missile.
