    Default Tobacco Sticks

I have access to 1000's of FREE tobacco sticks that are about 4 1/2' long.

I thought about driving them in the lake bottom. This way I'm not out any money. I know some attach them to pallets but I don't have any pallets.

Any suggestions about how to use them.

Drive away if the lake bottom allows it.........the best beds going imho.

I build almost as many stake beds as trees or pvc structure. I will use my pvc driver that I have a extension I can put on it and build beds in 15 feet of water. I first put out 4 markers in the size I want to build and then start driving the stakes with about 18 inches space. I like stakes that are 2 1/2 inches wide to give plenty of size for the fish to hide behind. Build each one large enough for the fish to really feel safe in (8x8) or larger if you like. Depending on you length of sticks and how much your lake is drawn down in winter install in depth where they will never be seen and still use 50% or more of the water column. Good luck and if put in the fishy spot they will pay off quick.

I also have 1000's of tobacco sticks. We set them in 5 gallon buckets at odd angles and fill with concrete. They last for a few years anyhow. But for 50 cents to a 1.00 a piece I should drive them to North Carolina.
