Crappie Condo College!
Well I got to tell you all that I have just returned from Hot Springs and while there I met with some truly great fishing guides. Went up on the invite for the stakes. I brought up a flat trailer and wanted to haul back some of the bamboo and stakes. Seeing the Bamboo grove was truly an awesome site, that was worth the trip but that is just the beginning.
Darryl Morris met up with me and we went from the Country Inn (that’s a great place to stay, clean, great view and close to all of Hot Springs), and up to the bamboo grove we went. I helped with getting their bamboo and the group all helped me cut and load up a whole trailer load of 16 foot boo. It was fun work: Jerry Blake had this weed whacker with a saw blade on it. He went through there like a mad beaver cutting that stuff at ground level, it fell in rows, and it was really cool watching 50-100 ft bamboo coming down.
After a great lunch the guys invited me to watch the process of condo manufacture. Like clockwork it was 8 condos done in 30 minutes. Jerry had 45 minutes before had to leave so wanted to get in some fishing. Out on the lake right away were onto crappie, then a striper would hook on and we would move to another spot and another striper or white bass would assault the tiny jigs and off to another spot. 45 minutes later was a well full of crappie, big as 15 inchers with striper and white bass to boot. Darryl cleaned and gave me most of the fish and they were fried as soon as we got home and fed a large group. Everyone here in Muskogee thanks you guys for the fish and I appreciate the education and all the bamboo. I made 13 condos and 4 shallow mats, Awesome time, can't wait to come up and spend a days fishing.
Thanks Guys
