Bamboo condo question?

Jerry Blake, or anyone eles that knows, will the condos stay pretty much upright after sinking, or do sometimes you have to tie in some jugs to help. i made three and they are somewhat lopsided, meaning there are more branches on some sides that the others. On the ground they will turn over without any support because of the weight differences around the bucket. will they be ok in the water, or do i need some jugs. I would hate to sink these after all this work, only to see them laying down on their sides. They were pretty hard to keep all the branches equal, and kept wanting to go to one side or the other wile making. I even had the crete quite thick thinking this would help with placement. thanks guys in advance. jm

Depends on the current and how much cret u have holding up.

the ones I have made will stand straight up. The boo holds air inside. But then I suspend mine about 10 feet off the bottom.

I use a 2.5 gal plastic jug..... they are FREE so why take a chance.....
The only problem I have is the graph will hardly pick em up.... so I sink mine under a bridge between the columns... that way I know exactly where they are.....

Jugs certainly won't hurt. The few we have found that might have fell over are on real steep banks and then again they're probably not over just laying against the steep bottom. The bamboo wants to float and the bucket is near 60lbs. You can throw them in head first and they'll flip upright and go down like a parachute. When we build them we try to fan out the boo as wide a we can all the way around then fill in the middle. This makes them more balanced. Plus, they are only about 12' tall. Anything taller makes them a bit more unstable and it's hard to keep them in the bucket while the concrete drys.
