Rend lake has new structure

Went up today and help the COE and IDNR boys dump 400 christmas trees in the lake. Needless to say the waypoints are all stored. What really made the day was getting to talk in length with one of the biologist. Got the green light on putting in some 'boo condos and hee tipped me off to several areas that I hadn't tried yet:D

Did they put them out by all the orange buoies? I was up there sat. and noticed all the old brush piles where marked.

Yep they refreshed the sets in Jackie Branch and along Wayne Fitzgerald. Said they are on a 3 year rotation. Those piles are pretty good size around the bouy. I hauled the first load to one site and could see the old structure there. They had a few trees with not quite enough wieght "re-locate" themselves in the wind. Don't know if they'll leave them or tow them back.
