    Default stakes question

I can get a bunch of 2x2 about 42 inches long, will they be long enough to make stake beds with, how far do you drive them in the bottom..
or would I be better off using them in buckets, the water I am wanting pu them is from 3 to 9 feet deep.

I'd say drive some in the shallow water, and put some in deeper water with the concrete, or nailed to a pallet. Drive them in to various depths, as long as they feel good and solid

If you can get a stake driver then shove them in about 6-12" in the soft bottom. Put at least 40 or more in one spot and move on. Make sure it is near a point or drop off or close to shore (spawn) or where fish have been known to frequent.
Make sure you make your stake driver long enough to sink the stakes 12" deep. That will give you about a 20'x20' square area where the fish can congregate. If you want to put in buckets then make sure there is no current to move the beds. Good luck.

Thanks for the comments. I looked at other ideals and I think the bucket cut in half ideal might be the best.. I am going to make a few and see how it works..

If you have any PVC pipe laying around add some to the buckets, would bet you`ll like the `results` ! For some reason fish seem to like the 2 together...what`s the `worst` that could happen ?
