Gonna give a few like this a try this time around. Will use bamboo next time if it's on hand.

Looks good, I'd suggest more greenery in the middle.

That's what I meant, should have said brush instead. Although the bamboo I sunk over three years ago still has leaves on it surprisingly.

I get hung on them every now and then, pull one or two up every trip. Figured they would be toast but they are just covered in moss. I lost track of this particular pile due to me not marking it and the water getting raised 10 feet. Only reason we found it was because my wife got hung and I was able to life a limb up enough to see the bamboo. She was hung in the leaves.

here are some simple to make crappie covers from a book i got in these photo's.. it also show ware to place them. by the way check local laws it is illegal were i am from to place crappie cover in the lake why dunno? but any ways i think the simplest to sink is the pallet and wood slat one with the cinder blocks holding in between the wooden slats...
    any how enjoy the photo's

Photo is misleading. You put concrete blocks on top of a pallet and drop in it will flip over. I put rocks inside pallets as low as possiable. Best way is drive stakes inbetween pallet boards while a drawdown is done. I build lots of pallet stake beds sunk and driven in.
