I have put out 2 truck loads so far. I cut another load Wed. and Thur.took in to the river bank within a hundred or so yards of where i plan to place it. There was a storm coming thursday night so i piled it between two trees and drug two logs on top of it to hold it from blowing away. The water was very low so i would need to use a small flatbottom with no trailer and this would also give me more room in the truck. Two hours later i noticed a deputy on my porch. My mom is very close to retiring after 32years of Law Enforcement so i try my best to respect LE officers, but this arsehole pushed me to my limit. A nearby resident saw me with the huge load of cane and came down the field rd. got my tag # while i was unloading this stuff. I waved at him and would have gladly explained what i was doing had he rolled his window down. The cop told me that a game warden had me on video illegal dumping. I called BS, i said "a game warden would have known what i was doing or stopped me himself". I told him i was going back in a day or two to put the bamboo in the river. His reply to that was that it was illegal to dump stuff in the river. I finally told this guy to have the "game warden" call me and i would tell him what i was doing because i was not getting anywhere with him. He would not give me the game warden's name(because there was no game warden.) Anyway, Mom talked to the chief, who i fish with some and the patrol captian who i have given several buckets of crappie. The report was thrown away and laughed about it and appologized for the idiot. I am not in jail.
