Saturday afternoon project

Took some 3/4" and 1" PVC that I found, buckets I acquired, only cost was concrete and my time. Will drop them under our boat dock. Can't do anything but help.

Looking good. If I were you I would take the handles off the buckets. One less thing to hand on.

Thanks guys....yeah, I just noticed the handles. I will take them off when I get to the dock. Might might them easier to carry, might not. I made some a couple years ago, now they are gone. Our dock sits on the edge of a creek, and it seems to have a strong current sometimes. I believe that they fell over and rolled down the drop-off. So I installed some "feet" on the bottom of the buckets to help hold them upright. Hopefully will keep them upright til they silt in.

I made some beds with a low wide profile to hopefully handle the current on a big flat at the inside edge of a river bend. Used a little extra weight too. Now if only a big log doesn't take them out before I get to test them.

You might try making them in a 2X6 grid affair that you disassemble after pouring and using it again. This would make them square and lower profile and harder to move by the current. Move em with a hand truck. Just my two cents.

Dropped them under the dock Saturday morning, along with 4 willow brush piles (6 stalls in the dock). Fished late Saturday evening and again Sunday morning, already catching some nice fish on the buckets, some smallish fish on the willows. In my opinion, it was a good investment of time.
