pond help

i found this 1.5 acre pond near my house down in some woods. its about 5 ft deep at its deepest point. its up on a hill kinda. the dam is about 35 ft long and 6 ft high above the ground. its hard to explain that its above the ground. the spill way is about 5 ft wide. the dam is also about 5 ft wide. iv seen little mosquito fish swimin around and i think i saw a catfish or a bass. it has plants in the water also. i dont know where its getting its water from. i was wondering what i can do to make it more pondy like. like what fish to stock and when and what plant rubbish to make cover out of and what i should clear. also how do i make a dock? i figured this would go into this part of the forum.

Would think that first you need to find out who owns it, before doing any thing. You don't want to get nailed for trespassing. Then contact them, and find out what they have done already. At that point, then see what you could work out with them.

i already have permision to be on the land. but they didnt know it was on the property until i told them. its like 50 acres of land. theres like 3 ponds on the property but they only knew about one and only this one is suitable to make into a fish hole right now. they havent done anything to it of course. it looks to be a good pond. it just needs some renovation kinda.
