To Windy To Fish, So...
Today it was to windy to fish, so I spent a little time preparing for some sinking. Cut 5 Cedar Tree's about 15'-18' tall, and 6'-8' in diameter. We have aalready put out 3 Cedar Tree's this size, and they are a hand full. But they make some amazing Brush Piles.

Then I mixed up some Cement and built 9 Boo Buckets. Going to zip tie some more Boo angling downward to get more coverage near the bottom. Most of the fish we catch are within a couple feet from the bottom. So we are zip tieing Boo aimed downward and running the end with the branches on it, will be on the bottom, and standing up from the bottom a couple feet. This should get us coveage from the bottom to about 6'. We have had pretty good luck with theBoo Buckets just like they are, but expect this to improve the numbers.

Then I built what I am calling a Boo Log. I have 10 pieces of Boo, with 5 facing each end. I wired them together in 2 places. It is 20' long, with 5'-6' diameter on each end. I filled 2 buckets half full with cement, then cut a saddle in the top of the bucket for the Boo Log to sit in. I'll be taking it out tomorrow to sink. This is my 1st effort with these. The buckets are about 18" tall, with the log sitting on top of it. Should keep the trunk off the bottom about a foot. Then has ends with about 5'-6' in diameter. I am thinking that these should make a nice structure. Put a couple out next to each other should be something. The next few i build wil be 16' to make them easier to get to the lake. I have seen basicly the same type of thing by stacking a couple of Cender Blocks wired together, with boo stuck through the holes, which creates more of a mat, than a structure. hope these work out.
