Redneck Porcupine Attractors

Has anyone tried making home made porcupine fish attractors? I'm thinking about sticking pvc pipe in all directions through a coffee can, and filling it with cement. Do you think it will work?

"If you build it, they will come" .... IF you place them in strategically significant spots.

"Cane Pole" has several posts about coffee can condos that he's built & dropped. Other members have made attractors with PVC "branches", out of bowling balls, basketballs, milk jugs, plastic milk crates, etc. All of them are variations on the "porcupine fish attractor" concept.

Follow the rules/laws of the body of water &/or state that you're dropping these attractors in, and remember to not put the safety of the general public (or their watercraft) in jeopardy with the placement of these attractors.

We build the redneck porcupines with the toilet bowl plastic thing.....They worked out pretty well...Roughly cost 10 dollars to make one...

I perfer natural things like wood that are low or no cost. It will work if that's what you have available use it.

I bought 600 sticks of PVC going to be build condo's until the fish hurt.

I would say $650 to $750. Too much for fish. I can get wood for free. LOL. Spend the $700 on a fish finder

Yeah, I started screwing brush to the PVC to help attract crapps faster. I made a porcupine, and I used reall flimsy pvc. Not good ..it collapsed, so back to the drawing board.

Guys, We have all the cheap PVC you need, and there's some available near you chances are. Vinyl siding works great cut into different widths and stiffnesses.
We sell loose material to build your own or ready to bend and sink models. We've been selling PVC strips for stakes for a few years now and everyone who has them in loves them. No more replacing wood, but mixed in with the PVC the spot is deadly.
