    Default building plats or pallots

    Hey guys,

I was thinking about building some plats. I have plenty of pallets and tobacco sticks. I have two questions. Do you all use galvanized screws? I think the sticks should be screwed twice, but since there are more slats on top of pallet, do you add a few boards (or slats) to the bottom of the pallet to put that second screw in? I know it is not rocket science, but I was just wondering how you all built them.

    Thanks
    Travis

We put the side with least boards up and nail uprights(stakes) to the larger middle boards (2x4)usually . Usuning hardwood pallets can be tough to nail into without nail gun. We use whatever nails we can get but galvanized or coated nails should last longer.
