Default Out of Control Crappie Condo

Ok...my first crappie condo got a little out of control...both in the scope of the project and the cost.

2 pics below...the original PVC version...which I didn't think looked "fishy" enough..so I added some black plastic drainage tubing to it.

    $500 later and here's what I have.

Now I gotta sink it...I'm now actively searching for bamboo.

Please don't beat me up too badly, guys!

I believe I would have looked for cane first, I have better luck on cane than pvc.

great looking condo. sink it in the right spot and you have a place to catch fish forever.
. unless someone moves it. just kidding. make sure you put it deep enough if you have a drawdown it won't be spotted

It looks air tight might take some weight to sink or drill some holes.

    Default Wow

Man that thing looks like it cost a bundle. Oh Yeah. You said that already. I must say I do like it. Vertical and horizontal with plenty of room to hide and provide shade.
Only 2 suggestions: (1) Drill small holes all in the PVC pipe so it fills with water. (2) Put legs on it so you don't lose one side of cover to laying on the bottom.

Couldn't afford to do many of those, but I bet it will work great. Just make sure to get it in a good spot. Even the best structure in a bad spot won't produce. But in the right spot, I bet that thing will be awesome.

Ihateblackbass, I hope you put a lot of weight on it. I would hate to see someone snag it with there anchor and drag it off. You may not be able to find it again. Good luck!
