    Default Lobster/ shrimp bisque

Well I wish the pictures did this more justice, but it came out awesome regardless. Mama grabbed some lobsters and clams from our local Masonic lodge yesterday. We had one leftover from dinner (because the boy didn't come home) , so I got after it early this afternoon making lobster stock, I roasted all the usual suspects in the oven with some shrimp I grabbed for some extra protein. In the pot everything went with a few seasonings for a simmer for a couple hours. Strained everything and started a fresh mirepoix, I used 2 potatoes cubed small in the mirepoix instead of making a roux. It came out great, for the pictures I should have plated the lobster and shrimp at the end so it was visible but then again this ain't no restaurant! lol I just dumped the meat in when everything was ready.

One of these days I'll learn to clean the plate edges and do some fancy plating like Rojo. Oh well, peasant food for now on my good ol' Corel.
