    Default Cajun fryer

How do y'all like these fryers? Also how do y'all store the oil between cookings?

Never used the Cajun brand fryer but I've always bought my peanut oil in 3-gallon containers like for using with a turkey deep fryer, strained it after each use and store in the original container in the freezer. Never had any go rancid even after 2 years. Stuff's expensive ya know.

I bought the two basket model Cajun Fryer about two years ago. I use it at least twice a month and only drain, strain the oil, and clean the fryer once a year. After the oil cools I store the cooker inside my outdoors "man kitchen" to keep critters away from it and to keep the oil cool. I add enough oil to bring it back to the fill line each time before cooking. So far, I have not replaced all the oil at one time.

It takes forty five minutes from the time I fire up the fryer until I turn it off to prepare and fry enough fish, hush puppies, and fries to feed four adults.

I am well satisfied with my Cajun Fryer.

love mine... cook ...close the lid and forget about it...Pnut oil only...keep it in a shady spot and you dont even have to drain it much!

I love mine as well. I do drain and strain the oil and store in my fridge after each use. I use rice bran oil and really like it.
    It is what it is!

We use ours three or four times a month. Let the oil get to 350 before dropping fish, cooks great. I always strain after each cooking and store the oil in the basement where it will remain cool. After five or six cooking I take a hose and wash the cooker to remove crumbs and meal that settles in the bottom, spray the inside with canola oil. We do change our oil about one a year because it turns dark, but still does not taste burned. If you cook a lot of fish they are well worth what you pay. We use canola oil.

I bought one to put at our hunting camp. I put new oil in it in October and I drain it in February. Simple as that. Love it. We cook fish, duck breast, chicken and duck liver, pork chops and other stuff. Love it. Best money I ever invested in something of that sort.
