Default Anyone using an oiless turkey fryer?

I have recently come across these and was wondering if anyone has used them for frying turkey and even fish? If so, which one would you recommend?

I have a char-broil infrared cooker and they do turkeys great! I use to deep fry them but haven't touched the fryer since I got the infrared cooker....

I am still in the ice age, I use a weber kettle grill and everyone loves the turkey. Not quite as fast as frying, a 20#bird takes 2 - 2-1/2 hours depending on weather. I start out with a double charge of charcoal and indirect cooking after an hour will usually add a second charge of charcoal but that is not always necessary but y'all know how impatient a wife can be.

I had one before my tornado. I liked it for chicken and turkey's. Did a chicken a couple times a month with it. Hint, season the bird on the inside, then spray outside with Pam cooking spray and sprinkle very liberally with seasoning. Most large hens take about an hour.

Thanks. I may pick one of these up. I'm curious about them and just what all I can fry in them without using expensive oil. It costs a fortune to do a turkey in oil. If I can figure out a good way to do fish in one i would be in hog heaven.

Have not used one, but if I can smoke fish in my smoker. I bet you could hang fish in these and cook them. Sure good off a smoker.

I have had the Char-Broil for a couple of years and love it. Does great on turkeys and chickens and also pork shoulders and loins.

Just remember it's not a fryer it's a broiler...........I t may cook meat to look like it was fried and it sure may taste fine, but the finished product will be different than fried..................I'm not saying it's a bad thing, just saying it's different.
