I have always fried, now am starting to bake em more often.:D
Just tried this w/ some nuggets I had cut up. Adding a various blend of spices, then making sandwhiches.....
Best thing I've eaten in a long time
That sounds great. I will give have to give it a try.
Thanks
I tried this recipe also. I didn't know what potato flakes or buds were, but went to the grocery store and bought the cheapest box of instant potato flakes I could find (Bi-lo brand I think). Did the flour roll, egg wash, and rolled em in the flakes. They came out crisp and great looking, but the flavor was either very bland or tasted like a hash brown more than a crappie!
If anyone has any suggestions, I'd enjoy hearing them as I hope to try it again soon.
Great fishing!

was what I found in the pantry, I seasoned my egg wash real good with tony chacheres creole- what you talkin bout, I thought beer batter was good, these tater flakes is somthin else!!:) thanks
