    Default My crappie fry recipe


    2 cups white cornmeal
    1 teaspoon onion salt
    1 teaspoon garlic salt
    1 teaspoon black pepper
    1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
    2 teaspoons paprika

    soak fish in milk shake milk off roll in cornmeal seasoning make sur oil is hot so that fish cook fast it should only take 2-3 min to cook a crappie fillet dont let cornmeal get to brown . hope you enjoy

    Sounds good. Also, a little on the spicy side. Is it too spicy for some people??

    If it is you can add half the cayenne. Or dont even use it. But my wife eats it and she not a spicy food eater so should be okay.Lot of people dont know cayenne has alot of health benefits.But i guess the frying process and salts would rob that.Give that fry a try though ive tried store bought and things and made this one day everyone seems to enjoy it i know i do.

    i use a pan with veg oil.

    i use the similar ingredients but instead of cayenne i use tony satchery's creole seasoning. and i mix to taste without the measuring. turns out great everytime.

    I use a similar recipe except I use Kelloggs corn flake crumbs in place of the corn meal...

    And minus the cayenne. Kids cant handle it.
