    Default Electric Smokers

How many of you all use electric smokers? Have a MasterBuilt and can't decide if I like it better than my charcoal water smoker. It seems cooking times are shorter w/ the electric.

I had a Masterbuilt and didn't vent it enough and caused a cresote buildup inside that ruined the taste of the food. I cleaned it real good with oven cleaner but the food never tasted good again, so I got rid of it.

I have a Treager. You can smoke, slow cook and even bake on it.

Check out the OLD SMOKEY. For less than $120, it is the best IMO. It's got a lid that seals in all the moisture. I'm on my 2nd one!!!!!

I bought one before. It was one of those red round elect. smokers. Maybe a brinkmann's, dunno. The food was good...but it was slow. I think to cook just chicken halves took like 8-10 hours. Needless to say I didnt use it much.

Check out the Treager. They are a little pricey but you get what you pay for.( it uses flavored wood pellets)
I have been unable to screw up anything on mine. Ribs are just to easy. I done a brisket for the first time in my life and it was awsome.
I ve done chicken with Bad Bobs BBQ chicken rub and I thought my buddies wife was going to pee her pants she got so excited.
I done a prime rib for new years last year it was very good. I really like my cooking tools so I spend maybe more than some but it's worth it.
