The first time I tied a RoadRunner on my line I was fishing with a new fishing buddy. I put the RR overboard next to the boat to see it's action. It was about 3 inches below the surface and the largest fish of the day came up and hit it while I watch. I've been sold on them ever since.

Road runners just seem to catch the bigguns! Its the spinner or that slightly bigger profile.
Try them slow trolling with a minnow.
The blade makes all the difference
I was using the 1/8 heads other day and the crappie was killing them.
