) and a nice eater Flathead to round out the day.Mind you ... this was after being rained on, getting blown around like a cork in 40+mph winds at times, and having my trolling motor battery give up the ghost & having to switch it out with the Livescope AGM battery, which left us pretty much "blind".
All fish were caught on jigs ... Onready was using a Slider grub (chartreuse/colored flakes) & I used a Slabanator Devil Minner (Junebug/chartreuse). A few were caught on a solid Lite Pink marabou Road Runner (custom tied by Skiptomylu) Total count was 20 Crappie + the two bonus fish. Another White Bass & Channel Cat were caught but broke off when bringing them in the boat. (MY FAULT ... I left the landing net laying in the living room floor and forgot to bring it along)
Big thanks to t.slabseeker for the loan of a battery to run the Livescope for the Fling on Saturday. The overnight cold rain dropped the water temp down from 67* to 61* and our honey hole was vacant. We joined Slabanator & Slabeye for the last hour and followed them to a couple of brushpiles & picked off 5 keepers to add to the Fling fish collection.
