    After crappie fishing for 50-years, I thought I'd seen it all.

    I always thought 14-inch crappie were about 2.25 pounds. Two fish seemed "heavy" Saturday. So we weighed them on the UPS scale at the office. Both were over 2.75- pounds! I had one two weeks ago that was 15-inches and weighed 3.08. I usually don't excited about a crappie until it is 16-inches long. I'm throwing that theory out the window. These Alabama fish are healthy!



    What's the heaviest, short fish ratio have you seen?
