3lb crappie

My 1st and hopefully not my last 3lb. Crappie.

Caught her trolling in about 20 FW fishing about 15 ft. Using a 3 in red body white curly talk grub tipped with a minnow.

Thought it was a bass or catfish, did not have my net out so I was trying to get it out of the rod locker while fighting her since I knew it was not a crappie I wasn't too worried about losing it.

I could not get my net out so I sit down in the drivers seat and pull it over to me, just when I reached down to lip it the line broke (6lb. Test). And she turned and started downward very slowly, so I reach in and grab her by the tail and pulled her up, then lipped her, got her in the boat and the jig fell out of her mouth. Thank you lord!
