• Crappie.com presentation

I belong to a local chapter of the National Wildlife federation. We meet monthly and try to have speakers on topics such as wildlife conservation, nature information or similar topics. I was asked if I could do a program on fishing so I decided to do a slide show on what Crappie.com was all about. Ed(Slab) was kind enough to send me some CDC stickers and some jigs I could use as door prizes. Our meeting had about 45 members present and I got a lot of questions about the forum and the different things that the membership offers, such as club outings, fishing and boating help and just about any other topic you could think of, including great recipes.

I showed some of the pictures from the forum and a shot of kids winning prizes at our Fallfest that was held last weekend.
We bring kids from the local shelters out to our facility for a day of fishing and fun and we cook hamburgers and hot dogs for them. We also bring our Wounded Warriors from the local VA out for a similar outing.
I told them about the CDC member who heard we needed rods and reels for these functions and brought me 40 combos they had for a program in their church which had been discontinued and the dozens of rods and reels that other members brought to me.
Everyone seemed interested in the topic and several asked for the CDC sticker so maybe we will pick up a few new members for our website.
Thanks again to Ed for the items he provided.

That is great, for the kids and the Wounded Warriors. I and my family support the Wounded Warriors and Veterans all the time. They have earned our respect and continuous support. Wes
