Nice mess of channel cats. Only problem is now you have to clean all of them. I quit fishing for them becuse one 30 pound flat head is much easier to clean and i get the same amount of meat.

yeah but that 30 lb flat tastes nothing like those small channels. Been there done that. But the taste is so much different
they all taste good after being rolled in house autry spicey hot breader and a bath of 350 degree peanut oil
Those big flats taste fine as long as you trim the fat off of the meat, it's a totally different taste if you do it right. It's a greasy mess if you dont.
7 or 8 footer Med Heavy that'll throw 1-3 oz. I use a 6500 Blue Yonder and a 6500 C Pro Shop with 14 lb Sufix Tritanium Plus. Leaders are 30 lb Berkley Big Game with a #60 swivel and whatever hook I need. Size them to the bait. Also throw a 10' with a Daiwa Sealine-X 20 loaded with 17 lb mono for the big boys.
I fish a cooling lake, with a pretty strong current near the outlet. I get caught-up in the rocks a lot, as even 2oz sinkers move around, so have been using a Walleye walking-sinker with much better success lately.
Dad & I got out last weekend. He doesn't believe in dip-bait, so had his chicken-livers & shrimp, soaked in garlic-salt. I caught about a dozen on dip-bait, he caught two. None we big.
We have a lake in are area. Its about 100 acres. How deep of water should you fish this time of year to catch Chanel cat out of this lake? Would you fish on bottom or what. Give me some ways to try to catch these fish. I never have much luck at this lake this time of year.
i get a dipsey sinker tie it about a foot and a half up the line tie a circle hook to the end hook live shad below the spine below the dorsal fin
I have heavy outfits but also have a pair of medium/light rods with Zebco 733's on them. For pond fishing and looking to catch fish smaller than say...10-12 lbers., I'd take the Zebco's and keep it simple.;)
man, those channels would make a nice pot of stew! catfish stew over wild rice! lawdy, make your tongue slap your teeth out, trying to get more!
