After work I decided to see if Crappie's were active. I arrived around 6:30pm fished till 9pm. The action was super slow. Around 7:30pm I had a nice hit on my UL rod, to my surprise it was a chunky Crappie about 12 inches or bigger. Unfortunately as I was pull him out of the water the the hook ripped his paper mouth and he got away.

Long story short. 3 Crappies got off and 9 Sunfish where under 6 inches so I tossed them back in. However I did mange to walk away with a 9 1/2 inch Crappie :-)

All and all it was a good way to unwind from a stressful day at work.
