San Joaquin River 5/23
Yesterday I went fishing to the river at Hwy. 165. I fished underneath the bridge and caught around 30 bluegills. Most of them were too small to keep; the smallest I caught was less than 3 inches. I only kept five fish; three bluegills, a green sunfish, and my first crappie. i caught it in two or three feet of water next to some submerged grass. I was fishing redworms on a size 8 baitholder without a bobber. I reeled in my line and there it was, a beautiful 7 ich crappie. I don't care if it's a white or black crppie as long as it tastes good!I caught it at sunset.
Panfishing is fun!
