God is merciful. The Holy Spirit leads us always
Ruminate on this. I heard this from a famous TV anchor yesterday. “Terrorists only have to get it right once but law enforcement has to get it right every time” when it comes to thwarting terror attacks.
When do clothes ever stop giving off lint!
Most of the societal problems and problems in the world are self inflicted…..
An infant is the closest image of Jesus we’ll see here on earth until the second coming
I spent some time this morning reading this entire thread. :highfiveMoney like time is merely a human concept. As is direction. Truth is always the truth no matter what. If someone denies or wishes it to be different it really does not change the truth. God is... truth +Cross+
keep on pondering Buckeye! :highfive
This has made me ponder. "If at first, you don't succeed, try again". Why did my mom and dad have two more kids after me :dono
And, after my sister, did they just give up? :Rofl
I was the baby and adopted so it really doesn’t apply to me. However my wife shared with me after my Moms passing that I was the favorite.. Mothers have a different love for sons I believe
I always thought it strange how it seems to be human nature to ignore things such as politics and political discussions... until the political machine we so carefully avoid creates such a monster that comes to destroy those who have been so thoughtfully ignorant... such a ravenous monster and such a dreadful time when there is absolutely nothing we can do to withstand or fight against it. All one has to do is look around to know that man, his deductive reasonings, and his "thoughty" avoidances of involvement are... and have always been his undoing since the beginning. Behold, these are the times at hand. So it is written and so it shall be.
If we could see the future wouldn’t we live our lives differently?
If you do the best you can everyday, and accept the results, the future will take care of itself.

Time is a precious commodity and even more so the older we get!
Not a thought but a daily routine.
How I start every morning. Cup o Joe in my Crappie.Com mug. Happens to be a dense foggy morning this July 6th 2024.

Seems about as good as it gets for morning routines. :highfive
Not knowing the future in front of us removes the dread of life in my opinion. You waking up is the start of a good day, the Joe is icing on the cake. Being thankful inside is how I roll respecting at any moment it can all go South. I like you start my day with a cup of good Joe but in a different mug, my Crappie Mug Owns prime real estate in my kitchen cabinet in our camper on Ross Barnett. There my big Grin :biggrin for the day starts when my hand touches the cabinet door handle and gets Bigger :biggrin:biggrin when my eyes connect with my Crappie Mug. Slab, that is still one Fine Coffee Mug my friend. Keep thinking, we are all better for reflecting on it.
Ever considered that the stars in the sky could possibly be angels watching over God’s creation?

As I get older I realize the absence of pain is a pleasure
I ache all the time. Especially if I sit a bit and get up. I just stiffen up and have to walk the stiffness out. My joints ache, my back aches, my knees ache. I seem to always have a muscle pulled somewhere that I'm nursing. Right now its one in my hip, I turn a certain way and the hip gives out and it hurts like heck. Getting old ain't easy, and that's for sure. I try to ignore it, but always seem to be reminded. When it gets bad I sometimes take Ibuprofen but try not to. Its the only thing that seems to work for me.
Sounds like me guys.like many of us, I’ve been broken. When you’re healed, you’re never the same as you were before. Different places on different days. I’m still pretty active for my age, I think, and count my blessings all the time. Ibuprofen is my friend but I just bear with it as much as possible.
Had a flat tire onthe boat trailer on the interstate Saturday, I had everything I needed to change it but it took twice as long as it should have. With 2 new knees with in the last year I move a little slower than I should. But on the good side while I ached afterwards my knees didn't hurt at all! :cheers2
Grumpa, I took a lesson from Jon Kosmoski (name may be misspelled) He invented House of Kolor Custom Paint like you see on TV. Anyway He made a point to all of us to not kneel on the concrete when masking custom paint jobs as His knees were shot because of it. I have 1 problem knee, went to member P-nut's doctor and he fixed me up but now I remain vary cautious about kneeling on that one knee. I bought a pack of that padding they sell for kids room floors. The stuff that fits together like a puzzle. Well I cut a bunch of the sheets in half and have the piece stuck everywhere. I even keep a piece in my bass boat on Ross Barnett for kneeling down low to stick my jig pole under low limbs & stuff. One piece is in the Fishin' Expedition just for changing flat tires.
