I am trying to run a 8/2 wire from the console to the bow for a new trolling motor. I can't get the fish tape thru due to all the foam, however if i run the wire in the "V rib" channel it is a clear path from the bow to the console. Is is ok to have the wire laying in the V rib channel directly on the hull, or do I need to keep the wire off the floor? The boat is a 2008 G3 DLX
