Boat Rigging Thread.

Doing a little clean up. Had the charger roped and zip tied to the fuel tank. I suspect this was not up to mariner code:Rofl. While I am restricted to land access only, I thought I would try to fix it. There ain't much room left under the turtle hull with all the junk in there, but I got the charger mounted and the mass of wiring zip tied into some semblance of order. Next I will tackle the hood area and see if I can organize the storage and wiring that calls that end of the boat home.

Looks like you have everything on that new boat but the kitchen sink. Oh if there was just a little more room.

Yes, but not mounted. It's a 4hp mercury. Haven't found a need for it no longer than it takes to crank up a limit.:biggrin

I actually use the 4hp for low water duck hunting, but could use it as a kicker. I have looked at the mount and see a way to mount it with no additional holes and steer with the terrova. I may do it one of these days.

Ok guys, need some help. Have a friend that has a 2011 Tracker 175 Crappie model. Wants to go to a Terrova 24. Looking at battery compartment looks almost impossible to put 3 batteries in there. Is it possible? Does anyone have pictures? Thanks.

I can hardly wait to get these Driftmasters installed. A little work today to see about the fit, then maybe the finish tomorrow or in the next couple days.

This is what I was building in the garage all these cold months. Made a rigging change on the Excel. I have added the Driftmaster 5100 to the rear. Removed the back transport holder that I had made. Modded the 5100 to hold the rod tips and also added a second level for another rack of rods. Used a TV mast clamp and a piece of round aluminum tube to make the lower level holder.

Oops. Forgot the most important part of the above. No holes mounting. Bent 1/4 aluminum then drilled and tapped a 3/8ths hole for the 5100 mounting rod. Backed the bottom of the bracket with an additional 3/8ths locking nut on the bottom of the mounting rod. It ain't goin' nowhere.

Nice mount RCC. That T rail is the best thing any boat builder ever came up with.
