Default My New Bass Fly - Bass Stalker

While flyfishing on a buddies boat about two years ago, I was using an epoxy based streamer fly and had caught as good size largemouth at Eagle Creek Reservoir. The body was epoxy, with eyes and using Sili-Crazy legs in the back of the fly, to create a streamer type pattern. Last year I was using the same pattern while fishing retention ponds, but left early as this new idea just popped into my head. The idea was to mode the eyes with epoxy and add another set of rubber legs to the front of the fly to give it a more complex look. The design worked great so far testing it on retention ponds and can say I caught over 20 largemouths and had a few get away and one huge one break the line. The fly has a sink rate of about 3 to 6 inches per second, depending on whether or not you add wiring around the hook shank or use metallic or plastic split-shots. The fly can ride a few inches or several feet below the surface, depending on the weight factor or using a floating or sinking tip line. Looking forward to applying it this year to Crappie or Stripers!
