    Default Bass and Ccats


    Had a beautiful day in the floating office, aka shocker boat, and saw some great fish. It don't get much prettier than today! So get out there!!

    Here's a couple of the many bass we saw today...

    Also saw a bunch of big (30-inch) channel catfish that were soaking up the warmth in the shallow water.

    Oops! Forgot to add the lake name in the original post! Yes, kscatman it was Butler State Fishing Lake. This is a great lake for largemouth bass and channel catfish...crappie, not so much.

    That is correct Don. White crappie recently appeared in the samples at Butler and they are increasing in density but there are few larger fish. The white crappie will likely contribute to the stunted population problem at Butler.
