mark twain shad

i hear ther are 2 or 3 different types of shad in mark twain. please explan what types they are and how many times a year they spawn.

Gizzard shad are the only shad in Mark Twain. They spawn from late April to mid June. Sometimes we see more than one spawning peak but that does not necessarily mean that an individual female spawns more than once.
