    Default Cast&Blast/CP at Brewer Lake

Got to fish with Cast&Blast at Brewer Lake, let me tell ya he was spot on with a depth finder. He would locate brush piles in 15-20 foot deep, we would anchor off them and cast slip bobber rigs set at 9-12 feet deep and had a consistant bite all day long with #6 shinner minnows(they like a big minnow), with about 30 keepers and slabs in the boat and I forget how many 9-10 inchers we let go. A great day on the water and thanks Tory so much for showing me around Brewer Lake, and I am ready for you to show me that Crank bite on Greers:D. For those of you who like to spider rig, this lake looks like a prime target to try. 9-12 feet over brush CP

Hi Brian...don't mind at all...it's north of Plumerville a few miles....I really enjoyed having you as a fishing partner yesterday Russ. I don't see how it could have been much better....The company was great, the weather, wind, and fish cooperated, and we ate good :D....I'm looking forward to doing it again when I get back from getting my new grandson.

Brewer is an great lake to spider rig and has some great crappie fishing, My dad and I fish there just about once a week or more, FYI we got checked by the gamewardens on the 23 and had everything legal but my insurance card was out of date by 6 months so now I have a $155 ticket to deal with but they said if I go to court and show my proof of insurance they will just give me a warning, so if you have a boat with a 50hp motor or larger be sure to have your insurance info with you.

Great trip report and most excellent photos.

I was using that very same pattern today on Ouachita and I caught three short bass--and I didn't catch them on the brush piles. I caught 'em long-lining 300s.

The lake is still nearly 9 feet hight. I'm not going back until the lake is near normal.

It's good to see someone catching some fish. This is what CC is all about.
