How were the size on those fish?
I don't know about the fish he caught, but I caught one there a couple of weeks ago that went 2lb. 9oz. on a spinner bait while bass fishing so I know there is some good ones there. However the majority of the crappie I've seen caught there have run on the small side but my experiences on Beaver Fork are limited.
The Keeper fish we caught were 11 to 15 inches nothing huge but nice filets we used to fish there every weekend and catch alot of 1 3/4 pound fish but in the last few years the fish have been smaller but when were not at brewer or greers we go to Beaverfork to see what we can catch. I know to launch a boat it cost $5 dollars for residents of faulkner county and a crazy fee of $50 dollars for nonresidents but if you get there early enough they have a self pay gate and there is no questions asked but if the park attendents are there they will collect there money. Has any one been to brewer I was wondering if you can lauch a boat or if the water is to high??
I went by Brewer today. I didn't fish it but you can launch a boat no problem. I talked to one guy pulling out and he and his wife said they had caught 4 off of brush piles beforew the wind blew them off.
I will give it a try in the morning and see whats going on there. the bite should be on around the brush piles.
Finally got to go back to brewer sunday fished about 3 hrs and caught 24 good fish and had 3 that were 1.90 1.95 and 2.03. Water temp was 69 and water seemed about 3-4 ft high still, but by this weekend things should be just right.
Nice fish....Were they on the brush piles?
Caught them on brushpiles in the main lake area by the north boat ramp, They were holding tight to the brush you had to bump the pile with the minow and jig to trigger the bite.
