Lowrance came through today. They replaced my water-logged 520 with a new one and it's so nice to have it back!!!
I went to the lake today between showers. With the high water, the fishin' was a bit slow. But about 3:00pm, within fifteen minutes, I caught three 15-inchers...the the bottom fell out.
I stayed with it until the lightning started.
On the way home, with the rain coming down, I felt a shudder from the back. Yup, a flat on my port side two-week old trailer tire. Errrrr. A narrow road, pouring rain and a flat tire literally put a damper on the trip.
Once home I looked at the tire and the bead separated so Trader Bill's will give me a new one.
I'll tell you what: I have had a few issues with my new boat but each time the folks at Trader Bills have been over backwards to make it right. My tires wore out in two months. New axle and new tires and wheels. The wheels were a little larger than my originals...they ordered me larger fenders--even without me griping about it. The Lowrance decided to take on water...they sent it back and two weeks later it was replaced with a new one. My on-board charger went belly up after ruining two of my four batteries. MinKota made it good by replacing the charger and the batteries and Trader Bill's did all the labor at no charge to me.
Once I get my new tire, we should be even (again)...at least for a while.
See you on the water.

I got a good deal on a trailer for my toon boat there. Haven't had any problems to try out there warranties. But, I am in a bad habit of stopping there any time I am in the area for bait ect. They even had a prop for my toon on a Sunday afternoon. They are some good guys with cute little girl cashiers.

Keeper, I have been in the Pecan Grove park since early March. Fishing Grand mostly. Live in No. Little Rock. Go down about 3 days weekly. Fishing has been slow last week or so, hope it picks up this coming week. Woodpecker
i knocked the bead loose on one of my boat tires backing through that pot hole at grand a few weeks ago..yep..flat tire...oh well...it happens...you are due a long spell of smooth sailing...from now on, i hope your biggest worry is having enough room in the freezer for all the fish you're catching.

I spent part of today changing my spare out for the new tire and wheel Trader Bills' gave me and it looks like I'm all set. I mowed grass all afternoon sos I might be able to slip off down to Greeson Saturday afternoon to take in the 3:00 pm session and to eat some of Jerry's and Darryl's fish at 6. :D
Maybe it won't be as bad as the weatherman predicts.
