Lake Millwood in the Summer!

Hello guys, I am Eufaula boy from lake Eufaula Oklahoma and I guide on the lake here, I was wondering how the crappie fishing is on lake Millwood in the summer time. With all that timber in Millwood we wanting to come down in July and dip some jigs for those monsters. Any help would be appriciated. If I can help anyone with information on Eufaula maybe we could do some trading. Thanks EB

I check arkansas game & fish wed site archive news releas for 2008 to make shure. They scheduled a drow down in July of 09. To control unwanded and damaging aquatid vegetation. As of today at 7:30 the lake level is 262.40 normal level is 259.20 . boat landing is close at Wilton and white cliff and below the dam. As of right now nothing has change.

I think "weekends" is right, the corps is planning a major drawdown this summer, may start sometime in June. Who knows though, the crappie may be so thick in the river channel it will be like catching fish in a bucket?
