Smile A Wet Grand Lake trip today

Managed to bring a dozen home. Trolling jigs in 10 FOW 5 feet deep. Just couldn't find 'em. Did catch a 16.5", 2 @ 15" and 3 @ 14". WET Fun! It showered on me all day on and off. Mostly light soaking rains.

Good catch, I'll fish in the rain all day for some slabs like that.

Way to go Bill....looks like you nabbed some slabs. That's better than what a lot of folks have been doing around here lately what with the hurricane force winds and all. I heard that they had slowed down a bit on Grand. Washington ain't no better right now with a bunch of small ones being caught. I can't wait for that river to fall and leave Lee Lake slap full of big'uns.

I'm ready to fish Lee also. It'll be better if ol' man river will ease out slooow or it'll carry many fish with it. BTW, saw ur post on Ms forum about boat horns. Ur right!

What nice fish!! Your weather was like mine on the 27th! Late in the day, I trolled as I left the pocket I had been fishing, heading for the marina. I trolled for an hour and when I reeled in, those little worm-like oak seeds were all fouled around EACH of the cranks and the RR. The rod tips were still pulsating, leading me to believe they were clear, but who knows. It may not have made any difference, being reaction strikes.

I was just a little bit provoked, but I did enjoy the moody sunset on Ouachita.

I'm going again tomorrow (Wednesday) and I may get rained on again, but the spawn lasts only so long. <><

Do you guys troll for crappie on Lee or fish the brush? I have caught them there both ways but I have not been able to fish it in a few years because of the river levels.

Nice mess of fish; I'll be back in the states Friday and have a new grandson the same day. Then maybe I can get in a few days of fishing.
