How has it been on Conway? I was driving to LR Sat to see a friend in the Hospital and couldnt help to notice the Lake as we went down I-40. I reckon I crossed Caney and Gold creek? Me and brother both agreed it looked like good fishin. It was a nice pretty day and folks were on the water. I'm not much on travelling but would like to fish them cypress trees one day.
Was that a bite? Forgot what they feel like!

Hey FishManny, crappie on Conway have been slow for me. I live right on the lake so I most always try to keep tabs on Conway's crappie. But right now i am baffled by em. Bream and Bass are good on the banks right now. I have been catching only a few keeper crappies. But watch my post because I expect to find a hot bite to start real soon in the next week or two on Conway. If i find em ill let you know and if you still would like to fish here ill try and help ya out and go with ya if you would like. CP

I'm not sure how it has been since, but I have a buddy that lives right on lake Conway. Him and a friend caught 60+ crappie last Thursday after work while fishing from his dock using live minnows.
sorry for a late reply jdouthit, yes any area of living cypress trees are producing healthy slabs.6500 acres lots of landings, lots of cypress.stop in get a map follow the marked trails.lawrence landing is the hot landing right now.not bad from here but you have to go 1/4 mile to main lake trees, and right here at gold point and gold lake.nothing much going on up the creek.but on the other hand RED EAR on the flats have been doing good saw 15 and another 10 with 1/2 lbers, also a few keeper crappie on the flats.i caught 6 1/2 lb red ears on the bank yesterday.got some pics ill get up today.
