    Default No crappie

I went to Greers this afternoon trolling beetle spins and roadrunners. Had 18 crappie with some nice ones. Was try to get my limit when one of my ultra lights bounced just a little. Thought I had a small crappie until I turned the handle on my reel one time. It just started stripping line. 15 minutes later I finally got it to the surface then realized I only had my Ego crappie landing net so I had to get my hands in it's gill to land it. It was quite a battle on an ultra light with 10/2 Power Pro line. It weighed 25lbs. 10 ozs. After I got it in the boat I decided I was too tired to try for the last two for my limit. After the pictures I released it back in the lake.

Nice Fish, We have been seeing a big push with the cat's. We have caught 1 - 4 of them most everyday the past 2 weeks in 4 - 12 foot of water~

The only place I have ever fished on the South end of the lake is Peter's Creek and that was 15 years ago. Just started fishing Greers hard about 3 years ago and have pretty much stayed in the Hill creek Middle fork areas.
