The fish were on a slow bite but fun to catch nevertheless.

The iris was my Daddy's. He's been gone over 32 years now. He taught me all about crappie fishing and a little about flowers and as you can see, he still affects my life, big and small. <><

When I was a kid, Daddy would freeze them in waxed cardboard milk cartons, adding water. But now, these bags make the meat last longer in the freezer and taste better. The meat's much firmer than when frozen in water.

Every now and then I find a bag that won't keep its vacuum, but those are few and far between. I use the little hand vac pump to seal 'em up and it works--either at the campsite or at home. Who needs 150-dollar seal-a-meals?

Where do you get the bags and would your standard wallymart pump work, like one made by Ozark for blowing up and deflating stuff?

    Awesome slab pic!
The 17th was mine and my wife's 28th wedding anniversary. Without a lot of money to spend on flowers I stopped a bunch of times on my 1 1/2 hour drive home and picked all these flowers in the wild.
She said that she enjoyed this more than any flowers that I have bought her in the past.
