    Default Gold Creek 4-22

Headed back to the Gold Creek yesterday to take advantage of the light winds. Found the crappie exactly where I'd left 'em...but couldn't find as many big'uns. Ended up with a good mess of eaters out of that deep hole, still on the bottom. All of 'em still had plenty of eggs...so not sure why they are still down this deep? Big fish was 15", but was full over worms when I filleted her... There must've been 8-10 worms per fillet. And they wanted minners more so than jigs. And why is it that just as I become fully free to fish...the word breezy becomes so common in the weather forecast?

    All females still with eggs...

    A worm or 2 ain't bad...but that's just nasty

Good catch Ceb. Gotta love that "breeze", but remember, if we didnt have to fight the wind on occasion, we wouldnt be worth a dang on the trolling motor :D

Having a stiff breeze will for sure teach you how to keep all those poles in the water...and I'll take a breezy April day over a scorchin' July day without any wind. Never seem to have a breeze when you need it...

Hey Arg, I was out there Wed 'till about 1pm. Did you see me out there in the hole? Couldn't hardly miss me. If y'all fished the afternoon and didn't do well, I'm wondering if it's just a morning bite in that hole. 'Cuz I've noticed the bite has really slacked off about 10 or 11am each of the 2 trips that I've made.

    Default Worms ???

It's been awhile, but I've read on here about worms in Conway before. I've also heard about worms being in fish around ponds and small lakes where there were cattle. Any ideas what's causing them?
    Gotta love it!
